Beginner and intermediate lessons provided in all disciplines.  We can accommodate haul-ins and are happy to provide great lesson horses.  We aim to provide quality lessons at reasonable rates - its okay to have fun while learning!

Craig Hodgman, Hunter/Jumper Trainer and Coach:  Craig's love for horses began at an early age on the prairies of Saskatchewan.  His father (an accredited Equestrian Course Designer) introduced him to the world of horses and got him involved with 4H.  Craig cut his teeth showing horses in the Western Pleasure and Trail ring until he was introduced to a jumping coach at the age of 12.  Ever since then he has been in love with the hunter-jumper world.

Through his career, he has worked with notables like Dayton Gorsline, Frank Hough, Mac Cone, Trish Mrakawa, John Anderson, Gail Greenough, and Sherrie Anderson.  He has shown in the United States and at Spruce Meadows. 

Craig believes in a "horsemanship first" approach and has the utmost respect for all disciplines of riding.  He wants to help his students experience the same enjoyment that the horses has brought into his life.

Gillian Sutherland, Dressage Coach.  We are proud to have Gillian coaching on a bi-weekly basis for boarding and haul-in clients (in a clinic format):

At a very early age Gillian fell in love with horses, and these beautiful creatures have been the centre of her life ever since. She started riding lessons at age 13 and her focus on dressage started at 17, when her mother begged her to stop jumping. She made this her full time profession in 1994.

Gillian competes for the love of the sport and was very fortunate to obtain sponsorship in 1996. Through this partnership she acquired  four horses in 10 years, which helped to boost her FEI career.  Justin Tyme, Great Tyme, Karolos and Darius, where all trained to and shown at the FEI level with Gillian.  With these horses, Gillian has obtained a number of impressive accomplishments in her riding career thus far.  Including placing second at the World Cup Final in 2003, a Pan Am games trialist in 2007 and had two horses named to the Coupe des Amerique in Blainville, at the Advanced and Grand Prix levels. She has also had the opportunity to ride in the Grand Prix Quadrille, the “lit Quadrille” {in the dark] and the Dressage/Reining show at the Royal Winter Fair in the past number of years.

Gillian has been short/ long listed for the Canadian Team for many years and has many national and international wins.

Gillian is also a full time coach, and her students have been very successful over the years.  She has brought along many Juniors and Young Riders that have competed at the North American Junior and Young Rider Championship  and have brought home numerous medals. Julie Watchorn was a student of Gillian’s for 5 years and together Julie was Canada’s first representative at the Young Rider World Cup Final in Frankfurt.  Gillian is happy to teach anyone who has the desire to learn from beginner to Grand Prix. She has also had the opportunity to train many therapeutic riders, and Paralympic equestrians along the way.

Erin Hinchliffe, 3-Day Eventing Coach/Trainer. Originally from BC, Erin Hinchliffe is a certified EC coach specializing in 3 Day Eventing.
